Ally Derks is the founder and director or international Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA & IDFA Bertha Fund). Since its launch in 1988 IDFA has been one of the world’s leading documentary film festivals, dedicated to the exhibition and promotion of ground-breaking creative documentaries

Grace Shwe Zin Htike

Grace Shwe Zin Htike was actively involved in creative content industry in Burma/Myanmar since 1971, performed in 200 films as an actress and become a producer and director since late 90s. Experience as a liaison between the local government, departments, corporations and the management team to pursue, formulate and explore various entry. Experience as participant and facilitator for workshops regards film & TV production, copyright and media in Burma/Myanmar and in abroad.

Igor Blazevic

Igor Blazevic the founder and longtime director of One World the Europe’s biggest human rights documentary International Film Festival and co-founder of the Human Rights Film Network will be involved as an international consultant as well as international jury for the film festival.

Peter Wintonick

Peter Wintonick is an independent documentary filmmaker based in Montreal. He is one of Canada’s best known international documentary filmmaker. He is very well known around the world of documentary, literally a bit like the ambassador to documentary, or a documentary diplomat and Canada is world renowned for its documentary art.

Min Htin Ko Ko Gyi

The HRHDIFF festival founder, Min Htin Ko Ko Gyi, has extensive experience participating in international film festivals, as a result of his award-winning documentary, The Floating Tomatoes. He isalso an experienced film festival organizer, having coordinated the first edition of The Art of Freedom Film Festival 2012 in Burma/Myanmar. He is poet, filmmaker, feature film director, and screenwriter from Burma/Myanmar.

Don Edkin

Don Edkin is a South African documentary filmmaker and producer based in Cape Town. He produced the Southern (1998), and Steps for the future (2001/04)- a collection of 38 films about Southern Africa in the time of HIV and AIDS. He was Executive Producer of the global documentary project. Why Democracy? (2007) with 10 long and 15 short films screened by 48 broadcasters. Currently he is Executive Producer on the steps international documentary project Why Poverty? With 8 long and 30 short documentary films screened globally by 70 broadcasters in November 2012. He has co-authored a book on documentary filmmaking-Steps by Steps.

Min Ko Naing

Min Ko Naing was the leader of the student movement in Burma/Myanmar in 1988. He spent approximately 17 years in prison during 3 times imprisonments. He was released in 2012 and set up 88 generation student group. He plays as a major influential political activist in Burma/Myanmar. Min KoNaing has won numerous international awards for his activism. These include the 2009 Gwangju Prize for Human Rights; the 2005 Civil Courage Prize, which he shared with Anna Politkovskaya and Munir Said Thalib; the 2000 Homo Homini Award of People in Need; the 2001 Student Peace Prize; and the 1999 John Humphrey Freedom Award, which he shared with Cynthia Maung of the Mae Tao Clinic. In 2012, he was announced the winner of an award from the US National, Endowment for Documentary.
